Watch the real workflow
Before changing screens, I look for where people pause, repeat themselves, copy information into side notes, or ask someone else to confirm what should happen next.

Shape a smaller version
I prototype the smallest useful version of the flow, then use it to test language, order, visibility, and the decisions the interface needs to support.

Check for confidence
A flow is working when people know what changed, understand what to do next, and feel comfortable acting without extra explanation.
